A virtual coffee break is an intentional allocation of time toward low-fidelity activities like chatting and brain storming. You may include virtual coffee breaks to help break the flow of a virtual meeting or conference in a way that helps restore energy and create engagement.
Why use Virtual Coffee? Virtual Coffee is not just about copying what a barista is doing. This course will help you understand the why of every single step you’re taking and make you a real expert among your friends and family. All course content is prerecorded with written explanations and review materials.
Here are some tips for running an effective virtual coffee session. Keep your virtual coffee break between 15 and 30 minutes. Use small group features like breakout rooms to encourage more discussion. Schedule at least one virtual coffee break for every 60 minutes of video conference. Include actual coffee or tea.
It’s impossible to zone out or multitask when someone is watching you, and video makes the conversation far more personal and meaningful. Before virtual coffee chat, do some research on the person you’ll be meeting.
